This fine Chippendale Marlborough legged George III dinin g table is a marriage or composite. The two D-ends and the central gateleg have been from different tables. The union is a joyful one, however, and the tableworks well as a whole and as its separate parts: a rectangular table to seat 6, that folds down to a (120 cm )4 ft by (60 cm) 2 ft footprint, and a pair of half round hall tables. Allthe components are the same period, and clip together with four brass table forks.
